Ready for a
New Day?
By
Rev. John Crane
God has been speaking to us through
the prophetic word to stay hungry, stay stirred, stay
expectant. I believe that we are on the brink of the
greatest moves of the Spirit that this world has ever seen.
The first of this year the Lord spoke to me, “BUCKLE UP” All
that we have seen God do in the past is but a tremor of what
is about to take place in the world today. Every word that
God has spoken over the church and your life, you can be
encouraged, for God keeps His word and it cannot return
unfinished or unaccomplished.
The month of April is considered to be a month of rain
showers and we have seen a lot of rain in the natural. But
the rain coming down is a sign of Gods faithfulness to His
word. In Isaiah 55:10-11 it says "For as the rain comes
down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but
water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it
may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall
My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not
return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. What
a exciting picture of Gods natural provision to earth, so it
is with His word, it shall not return void, but it shall do
what it was sent to do. Our responsibility is to believe, to
walk in faith and victory so that we don’t miss out on the
blessing due to our lack of fresh hunger and thirst. That is
why the Holy Spirit is speaking so directly to us through
the prophetic messages in the services, because His word is
like rain to the earth it will bring forth the purpose of
God in you. In Proverbs 27:7 is says, “A satisfied soul
loathes the honeycomb, but to a hungry soul every bitter
thing is sweet.” A satisfied soul is one who is tramples on
the promises like they are worthless. One who is full treats
the blessing as worthless because he is ignorant of his
need. A wise man doesn’t get satisfied, but remains hungry
and thirsty for all that God has in store for his life.
When we slip into the satisfied
syndrome, we give ourselves to the worthless and forsake the
priceless. We spend ourselves on the empty while we forsake
the fullness. The enemy of our soul loves to get us off-line
where we are not receiving the fresh word of God that ignite
our hearts to fresh passion and purpose in our walk with
God. Our lives become so busy that we are like Martha that
we are full of worry and fear, anger, bitterness rather than
full of joy and peace and passion for living. The enemy of
our spiritual advancement is self-satisfaction and
distractions, for in this state we trample on the priceless
promises of God. But I want you to know by the Spirit of God
that we haven’t seen anything yet! Today make a decision to
seek the Lord with a new fresh passion. Take time to stop
and drop to your knees and call out to God. Don’t be
deceived by the lies of the enemy for his loves to tell you
that God will not fulfill His word and tries to bring doubt
and unbelief into your mind and heart.
But just as the rain and the snow come
from heaven and water the earth, so His word will bring
forth what you didn’t even realize was in you. Those who
will listen and hear what the Spirit is saying will walk in
the abundant life that he designed for you to live and move
in. I believe that we as a church are right in line for
advancement, but we are hearing God say to us, “Press In and
Touch Me” Let us respond in expectation and say, “Yes Lord,
your face I will seek.” In Revelations 3:20 God says,
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine
with him, and he with Me. What will be your response, “Oh I
am satisfied” or “Yes, Lord I open myself to more of you”
The church must never ignore the knock of God, for a fresh
communion and intimacy is awaiting those who will respond!
